Hey Patrick Chan, I’m Jocelyn Phavivongkorn from Toronto, Ontario.
I just wanted to say that you are simply amazing, and one of my heroes.

I’m not sure how much questions we are aloud to ask but I’ve given a few.

Some of my questions for you are:

If you had to participate in any Olympic game instead of figure skating, which one would it be?

I see you like Harry Potter, which character best describes you in the series?

    What is your dream world?

If you had to be in the music industry would you either be a singer, dancer or rapper? Why?

Hopefully my question(s) will get answered.
Thank you very much! Best of luck choosing the lucky one. :D

And also that at the end of the Olympics at the closing ceremony thing, that that routine you did, You did the same routine at east york skating club when you visited for out Ice show. I was wonder can you come to our Ice show this year? Our theme is Heroes And Villains.

    Now for my 3 questions:
What was it like being able to compete in the 2010 Olympic games?

Other then being figure skating do you have any big dreams you wish to concur in your life?

If you were given the opportunity to make change in the world what would you do?

    Hey Patrick Chan!

    I’m from Markham,ON.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for your finish at the OLYMPICS! You made Canada PROUD!

Secondly, I would like to wish you good luck for Worlds! You better kick their butts, and not hurt yours. Bonne Chance et Bon succès!

    Thirdly, here are my questions:

    - What was your all time best moment during your stay in Vancouver?

    - I heard you used to go to EB, was it hard balancing skating and school, especially when learning another language?

    - What’s your favorite movie? Why?

    - Is there a particular song you have to listen to all the time right before you compete? Which one and why?

    - Hypothetically, lets say you never had a skating career, what other sport would you have chosen to excel in?

    - Who is or are the skater(s) you admire the most?

Finally, I hope at least one of my questions get answered!

Best of luck to you for the future!

My question is simple and here it goes. Most people don’t think that a famous athlete lives a normal life, right? My question is “What do you like to do to ‘chill out’, or where to you like to go that is ‘you’re favourite place on earth’”? I simply like to hang out with buddies and go to somebody’s house.

    Hey Patrick,
Congratulations on your olympic debut, I’m sure we will see more of you in the near future. I’m from Toronto and two weeks ago, I fell backwards from skating and landed on the blades of my skates. I had to get stitches on my posterior and now my injury has healed and have taken a break from skating. It was my first time skating and it ended with a painful reminder. My question is do you remember your first injury when you stepped on the ice and how do you cope mentally and physically to continue to skate?

So I wanted to ask you, during your season & competitions, do you dream about your choreography and jumps? Here’s a question not related to figure skating:

I really admire your skating and work ethic. You make us Canadians so proud! I’m from Toronto too =). Anyway, I’ll just shoot away my questions:

1)If you could play for the NHL but had to give up your skating career, would you do it?
2)What would your dream skating performance consist of (ie. which elements, music, costume, etc.)?
3)What are some major sacrifices you had to make as a skater and that you wished you didn’t have to do?
4)What were your most embarrassing and best moments of your life?
5)Finally, do your friends treat you differently now that you are a figure skater champion compared to when you first started competing?

Thanks! Sorry for asking so many questions -___-. I wish you the best at the ISU Worlds in Torino =)!!

My question is, through out years of skating how have you learnt to overcome the fear of falling and injuring yourself? Aren’t you scared of of landing on your butt or even falling face first on the ice causing some serious damage? I used to learn figuring skating too and I think one of the biggest obstacles that kept me from really being passionate about figure skating was my fear of seriously injuring myself since I’ve fallen a couple times, and it wasn’t pretty….. =/

    Hi Patrick :D
My name is Ava and I’m 12 years old. I love figure skating too. I mostly skate for fun, but I can do a few jumps. Anyways, I want to say congratulations for your amazing performance in Vancouver. I absolutely loved the Phantom of the Opera routine! I stayed up late to watch you skate. I was really nervous, but I tried to send you positive vibes :D I was happy about your 5th place finish! Good luck at Worlds too! Anyways, I have a few questions; hopefully I’m allowed more than one. Here they are!
    - So, since you like rice, which kind of rice is your favourite and what do you like to eat with your rice?
    - You know how pet hermit crabs can have painted shells right? So, if you were a hermit crab, what would your shell have on it?
    - I saw the video with your lucky charm bracelet. Did the charm bracelet come from somewhere special or come from someone special?
    - And finally, I know when I’m going to do a flip or loop or something, I try to think in my head “I can do it” and it seems to work for me. What do you think in your head before you do a jump that helps you?
I think this contest is an awesome idea! I enjoyed thinking up some questions for you! I’m hoping my questions will get answered, but, I totally understand if not. You must have like a million to answer! Haha
    Thanks
    Cheers

I’m not sure if I’m supposed to ask the question here or in the link above! So I’ll send it through both! :)

Firstly, Patrick I’d like to say that I really admire your passion for skating and more importantly for life. I’m very inspired by your attitude and outlook, it really does encourage me when I’m feeling down. So I’d really like to thank you for that!

    Questions:

    1. What are your most cherished childhood memories?

    2. Do you have any special or creative plans for your SAT books once you’ve done & passed the SAT test? (for example, burn them, if all the work is a bit aggravating.)

    3. If you could be any animal but still were a professional skater, what would you be and why? You can’t be a human but you can mix animal parts! Be creative and think about it throughly! :)

I really do hope you enjoy answering these questions!

Hey Patrick! i’m supporting you all the way torontonians all the way!! Here are some questions.

You said that you wanted to play hockey that’s how you started figure skating. So the question is what made you stay in figure skating? and why?

I use to skate before so i know how tricky the footsteps are my other question is how do you remember all the choreography everytime? i remember having lots of trouble remembering all the footsteps and stuff it is clearly hard! Keep up the good work! hope to see you around Toronto sometime!

  127. Calvin W Said,

    March 31, 2010 @ 5:38 AM

Since i have nothing better to do at 1;30 in the morning i came up with some more questions.

What inspires you to continue and become more successful? is it the crowd cheering you on or is it something like a passion from inside you?

Where would you be if you never wanted to play hockey? do you think you would be figure skating now?

Since you said that your worst fear is to be paralyzed, if that were to happened what would you do? and would you be one of those inspiring people like Rick Hansen?

Oh My Last One you were interviewed by The Star (Toronto Star) in the video you said that the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you was, your room-mate walking in you naked when you were on the computer. my question for you was what were you doing on the computer naked?

hope you like my questions lol my sister helped me with them :)

My name is Conny and I’m from Vancouver, BC! (I hope you enjoyed your stay here by the way when you were here for the Olympics.)
I’m a big fan and seeing you skate makes me regret not pursuing skating more when I was a kid. I did learn how to skate and starting figure skating a bit as a child, but my parents always urged me more towards music like piano instead of sports. I’m happy for your that your parents let you choose what you wanted to do and supported you the whole way!

    My questions to you are:

    1) If you could only describe yourself in maximum 10 words, what would they be? (It could be a short phrase like a quote, or just adjectives)

    2) If you could go back in time 10 years and tell your younger self something, what would it be?

    3) If you had access to a time machine, where and when would be the first place you travel to?

Good luck choosing a winner for this contest because I bet you got LOADS of good questions! :)
And congratulations on your results in both the Olympics and at Worlds.
