Education: 2009 – High School Diploma (grade 12) and Ontario Scholar – Ecole Secondaire Etienne-Brule, Toronto.
2011 – accepted to Colorado College, Colorado Springs, U.S.A., for B.A., in Economics, Business and International Languages. Admission deferred to September, 2012. Currently, pursuing Math, English and Mandarin by self-study.

Figure Skating Accomplishments:

  • 2011 Reigning World Champion (Moscow) establishing World Records in all 3 categories (short program, long program, and combined score), and 2-time World Silver Medalist (2010 – Torino; 2009 – Los Angeles).
  • 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics – 5th in Men’s Singles.
  • 2011 (Quebec City), 2010 (Beijing) Reigning Grand Prix Final Champion.
  • 2009 Four Continents Men’s Champion (Vancouver).
  • Reigning and 4-time Canadian Men’s Champion (2008-11) – youngest in history (in 2008, at age 17).

  • Canadian Olympic Committee, Adopt-an-Athlete program – 2008-present – mentored 7 classes of elementary school children at low-income Dundas Public School, on fitness, health, goal setting and communication.
  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada – 2008-present – Ambassador and supporter – visits to various Ronald McDonald Houses and participation in events to create awareness of RMH, including McHappy Day.
  • ThinkFirst – 2011-present – spokesperson for national health organization dealing with prevention of concussions and spinal injuries.
  • Spark – 2011 – Luminary, on behalf of Children’s Aid Foundation project to provide lessons in art and sport to underprivileged children and youth.
  • Right to Play Canada – 2010-present – Athlete Ambassador – model for Harry Rosen Men’s Wear Spring, 2010 ad campaign across Canada, with proceeds donated to Right to Play.
